About Isaac Project
Three apples. Three seconds. One decision.
How do you decide when you cannot know what will happen next?
Isaac is the first research experiment from Intuition AI Labs, exploring human intuition and decision-making under uncertainty.
You are shown three apples: green, yellow and red and have three seconds to choose which one you think will fall. Then one apple falls. You immediately discover whether your intuition was right or wrong, before making your next decision. You will make 25 predictions, with each apple falling randomly and independently. At the end, you receive your Intuition Score; the percentage of predictions you got right.
Your intuition. Your decisions. Part of the research.Isaac is more than a game. It is a simple experiment in something deeply human: how we decide when we cannot know the answer. Play Isaac. Test your intuition. Be part of the research. And when you finish, share your Intuition Score and invite others to take part.
Your intuition is personal. The research is collective.
Our Mission
What happens when intelligence has to act without knowing what comes next?
Intelligence is not only about knowing. It is also about knowing how to act when you cannot know.
Human beings make consequential decisions with incomplete information, ambiguous signals and uncertain outcomes. We draw on evidence, experience, pattern recognition and intuition to act when there is no complete answer.
Yet we still know little about how intuition works, when it can be trusted, and how it shapes decision-making under uncertainty.
Intuition AI Labs researches this frontier at the intersection of human intelligence, decision science and artificial intelligence.
We explore how people recognise patterns, form judgements and act when certainty is impossible — and what this can reveal about intelligence more broadly.
As AI moves from generating information towards making decisions and acting autonomously, machines increasingly face a problem humans have always faced: acting when information is incomplete and the outcome cannot be known with certainty.
How should an intelligent system act when it cannot know what comes next?
Our research begins with human intuition and decision-making and extends towards machine intelligence, autonomy and human AI decision making. Its potential applications span autonomous vehicles and drones, robotics, healthcare, aviation, finance, defence, energy and complex business decisions.
Because intelligence may depend not only on what a system knows, but on how it decides when it doesn't know.
About us
Intuition AI Labs is an independent research lab exploring the boundaries of human intelligence, decision-making and AI.
We investigate questions that sit between disciplines and at the edge of what is currently possible — where human behaviour, uncertainty and emerging AI capabilities intersect.
Our starting point is curiosity, but our approach is experimental. We develop research experiments and tools to observe, measure and explore aspects of intelligence that are difficult to capture through conventional approaches.
We are deliberately interdisciplinary, drawing on AI, decision science, cognitive science and complex systems while staying focused on questions with potential real-world implications.
The lab was founded from a long-standing interest in intelligence and decision-making under uncertainty, informed by research in AI and more than two decades of experience working across technology, business and complex systems.
We investigate questions first, technologies second.
